This is a quick and easy sequence that can be done anytime during your day to totally stretch out your body, mobilize your spine and re-energize you throughout your day.
When we sit at a desk for long periods at a time we are compressing our spine and reducing the amount of oxygen flow throughout our body. We also tend to take on poor postural habits such as jutting our head forward to look at a computer screen, slouching in our chair or lifting and tensing the muscles of our neck and shoulders. Yes, we can see you. This may result in sore and fatigued muscles, poor postural habits and a fogginess in our thoughts, as well as tension headaches and chronic back pain. Taking a break to do this mobility sequence and grabbing a glass of water on your way back to your desk will give your body the love it needs to stay focused and calm through your working day.
Benefits:
- Increases body mobility
- Increases body awareness
