Sustainable Futures: Water Issues (2011)

Water is one of the most crucial resources for life on earth, yet water use is increasing at almost twice the rate of population growth. We are outgrowing our water supplies and by the end of the century, more than half of the world could be facing critical water shortages. Around the world programs are being developed to conserve this precious resource. Travel with us as we visit countries from Africa to Scandinavia to learn about their water conservation programs. We also learn of novel uses for water to generate electricity. There is hope, and these are just some of the people working diligently to preserve clean water supplies for future generations.
