Chances are, you or someone you know has given up gluten, dairy or both. But have we found these controversial foods guilty without a fair trial?

In a live webcast on March 29, 2012, Dr. John Douillard, D.C., author of the Ayurvedic medicine book, The 3-Season Diet, examined the myths and facts behind gluten and diary. Plus, he shared 10 ways to boost your digestion, which is a surefire way to increase your chances of tolerating these hard-to-digest foods.

Dr. John Douillard, D.C., has written and produced numerous health and fitness books, CDs, and DVDs. He has been teaching and lecturing internationally for 25 years. He was the Director of Player Development for the New Jersey Nets in the NBA and currently directs the LifeSpa Ayurvedic Retreat Center in Boulder, Colorado, where he lives with his wife and six children.

It took the doctors years to figure this out and I was sick, sick, sick. Had issues with my cycle, fertility, had PCOS, Mad weight gain etc. This is a serious issue. The issue is not giving diagnosis too generously, but the lack of it.

We over consume carbs today and you'd be surprised by the number of gluten-free products available in Italy today as well.

This video may be great for some, but unfortunately those with serious gluten allergies will once again have to struggle just because others write it off as something else.

Yes, pasturization, hybridization, sterilization, GMO ... all changes grains and dairy ... this has helped to mess up our digestion. Raw Milk is Safe! Eat no Grains or be very careful since we don't really know if certified or verified Non-GMO is true or really pure.

I recently had a blood analysis and it proved exactly what this video and this wonderful doctor illuminate. I've been moving into vegan and raw food choices with great results but not completely getting the true relief I've been after. Intuitively I've been asking the very questions this video asks and I've finally found the answers I've been looking for. Thank you so much for this video!

What about those that have diagnosed allergies? You don't know if you don't test. I had 2 kids that completely resolved their ADHD and soared academically far beyond any medicated state by coming off of gluten and dairy. Rather than saying one diet is superior to another, you need to find out what your body needs or doesn't need and provide it with the right nutrients. I wish these food allergy tests were more readily used by our medical system and knowing what I know now, I would test kids at a young age and even the parents before conceiving as some food allergens can pass through the placenta and breast milk.

I found this video great, and even forwarded it to friends, and decided to try the "4-Day Cleanse" on his website, touted to "reset your digestion." Be warned, it may be a cleanse, but it's primarily a very low calorie DIET/FAST: only 800-1200 calories/day! 2,000 calories is recommended. I was literally passing out on Day 3 of this diet, and had no idea why, because the food is actually filling, and he makes NO MENTION of it being a fast. I have a very fast metabolism, so to me this was dangerous right away. I have since discovered I am pregnant, and did this unintentional fast for my first three days of pregnancy. It has been a wake up call for me, to be more cautious.

Also, after watching several of his videos on his site, I've seen him use sources for his information that are NOT reliable sources. It's one thing to have someone rattle off accurate information for improving your health, but quite another when he's quoting Sally Fallon, who claims that huge quantities of meat and saturated fat are good for you, and is the main source behind all anti-soy articles plastering the internet. Sally Fallon quotes people and scientific studies out of context to support her absurd claims and sell her book. How many other authors like this is Dr. Douillard referencing?

He seems personally committed to good health, and sharing info about good health. I just wish I could trust that's he's getting his info from scrupulous sources.
