ThoughtFlow: Chaturanga Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa means to move from pose to pose in a thoughtful, clear way. A key posture, Chaturanga is frequently practiced but not always understood. Use props and variations to explore the alignment and core stability required, making your vinyasa more challenging and satisfying.

I've just begun practicing yoga and I cannot do Chaturanga yet. I found this video to be perfect for learning how to do the pose/flow correctly, and acknowledging/finding where I need to strengthen to do Chaturanga properly. Wonderful

Chrissy explains so clearly and in such do-able detail how to approach this sequence. Unlike many videos that leave you to fend for yourself, this one really made me feel as if I was in the room and receiving direct instruction. Worth re-watching many times!

This video is a must see for students and teachers alike, whoever is looking to thoughtfully refine their understanding and practice of Chaturanga. Chrissy brings intelligence and warmth to her teaching and the instruction is clear and precise. My favorite thing about this video is that it goes beyond being a sequence designed around Chaturanga, and offers concepts that can be applied endlessly throughout a thoughtful asana practice.

As someone who practices vinyasa flow regularly, I truly appreciated how Chrissy explained the alignment of Chaturanga. The prop variations were very helpful in understanding this difficult pose in a new way.

I found this video so helpful in improving my chaturanga practice. Chrissy does a fantastic job breaking down a pose that I usually do without any thought --- I learned tons and have a much better appreciation of the pose and my body within it. I liked how intimate this video felt too. It was like I was there in the class (helpful to see adjustments being made to students, also). Will re-visit this one again to work on chaturanga.

This is by far the best yoga video, or workout video for that matter, I've ever tried. Rather than feeling like i'm trying to follow along in the back of the classroom, I actually feel like I'm getting a 1-on-1 lesson. Chrissy is great at explaining the poses in a way I can understand. She's very clear, real, and funny -- a welcome break from most video instructors. A must for beginners or experienced yogis!
