Join Jesse Enright as he leads you through a challenging and fun vinyasa based sequence in which you will learn to: "Use your Strength to create your Flexibilty". Great for balancing the muscular body and keen students wishing to better understand and improve their strength, flexibility and the alignment of their yoga postures. Also great for building core strength!!

The great sage Patanjali has a simple approach when describing the qualities of an effective asana practice: "Sthira Sukham Asanam" - "A yoga posture must be both steady and spacious." In order for us to experience the exhilarating freedom of flexibilty (Sukha) we all crave in our yoga practice, we must first build a foundation of stability and strength (Sthira) on which to open.

cat-cow-pointer, forward fold, sit-ups, belly-crunches, warrior I,II, III, cobra, plank, push-up, side plank, chair pose, cow face pose, thread-the-kneedle pose, reclining hero's pose, standing half moon, standing splits, reclining spinal twist

Worked very hard to keep my core engaged - a little twinge in my lower back tells me that I need to work on this area more! Thanks

Wonderful explainations of balancing the stretch and contract action of the muscles in our asanas. We all need reminders about the purpose and action of our asana and Jesse does a wonderful job with that. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this wonderful practice. Your comments throughout really help me with my postures since I don't have a teacher in the room. I feel like they keep my body safe as I move through.

Entirely too much talking. I did enjoy the sequence but found the constant talking very irritating.

A great practice and lesson. It is challenging for me, since I am not as familiar with vinyasa. But, at the end of the practice, I can feel the strength and the stillness of my body. Jesse also did a great job leading and explaining each posture. I plan to incorporate this video in my yoga practice. I only wish that the practice could be slightly longer, especially for shavasana, in order to let the body feel the stillness after the practice.

Why does this video keep stopping...started at the 23 minute mark and is very frustrating to have to keep getting up and starting it again.

Loved that he did not assume we all understood our connection with the core and often need to work on it.. and gave options for the poses that challenge a week core..
