Richard Hoagland, a former NASA consultant, speaks about a historic series of celestial events and their possible meaning in our understanding of 2012. On Sunday, May 20, 2012, a rare solar eclipse takes place, followed by a transit of Venus later in the year, and more.
In addition to his consulting work with NASA, Richard Hoagland is also a former space science museum curator, and during the historic Apollo Missions to the Moon, he was science advisor to Walter Cronkite and CBS News. He is the author of Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA, the Monuments of Mars and The Cydonia Codex. In 1993, Hoagland was awarded the International Angstrom Medal for Excellence in Science by the Angstrom Foundation, in Stockholm, Sweden, for his research.
Most recently, Hoagland and his team have been investigating over 30 years of previously hidden data from NASA, Soviet and Pentagon missions to the moon. He was interviewed on May 16, 2012, by renowned author and filmmaker Jay Weidner, who is the Director of Original Programming for GaiamTV.com.
