Who was Mary Magdalene? Was she a prostitute – or a priestess? Strong and independent women often feel there is no true place for them in the Judeo-Christian traditions. What would it mean to our culture if Mary Magdalene emerged as a model of courage, wisdom and partnership? Take a journey of remembrance to the roots of the sacred feminine in western culture. We follow a group of actors preparing to present the play My Magdalene by Lila Sophia and David Tresemer, while the authors and others describe and comment on research into new understandings of Mary Magdalene.
