I couldn't finish watching. There are two glycemic indices. The original one starts with white table sugar being 100 and everything else is relative to that. The written intro asks if our HEALTHY diet is causing prediabetes. The diet he describes in his first few minutes is anything but healthy. And if he wants us to live with a blood sugar of 85 he is condeming us all to stupidity and a few other things in that the only energy our brains use is from glucose. For years I was hypo glycemic and a blood sugar anywhere below 80 and I was practically nonfunctional. And your blood sugar is supposed to go up after you eat and come down as your body burns the energy. If this guy is going to try and refute all that he better bring more than just his say so. Oh and one study doesn't prove anything. We all know studies can be manipulated.

Definitely, worth watching. Somehow we've let science confuse rather than clarify. Doullliard balances wisdom, common sense, and science.

I disagree with Allen Bruun. Nice to hear differentiere opinions - we are all learning, and Think that gaiam tv is mature in that they dont take a sergent stand over the other.

Mainstream sources of info have people deciding for us what is best *in their opinion* which seems great because it's supposedly easier than doing the thinking for ourselves about what is best. Hence the need for Gaiam TV which seems to treat adults like adults, capable of forming an opinion for themselves based upon all available information. Glad to see your comment! :)

I just think this brings more confusion to peoples health, another "guru" to follow. It would be nice if the staff at Gaiam had more agreement about who they think has valuble information to offer.
