Of Nuts and Men (2008)
Only available in Canada, United States
We all appreciate nuts as a delicious snack, but do we really know how they get to our plates? Travelling from the Bolivian rainforest to Europe’s food markets, this amazing documentary reveals the true face of food globalization and how what is a snack for most represents in fact the daily bread for many in South America. The Brazil nuts are not cultivated, but instead grow on magnificent trees in the Amazon basin, where the local people journey into the rainforest to collect them.
