Dear Ashley!
I love your classes, especially your well chosen words and knowledge about how everything goes together, about the balance of all. They enhance my practice a lot! I am very active, practicing dance and yoga for years now. Still, I took this class this morning, I felt nauseous in the middle of it, and the whole ongoing day. Tonight I feel as if someone has hit me with a hammer, and the practice itself was unusually hard and even made me tired. This never really happens to me, as I usually leave class energized. Is there some heavy detoxing going on?

Ashley- I love your practices!!! You have educated me on so many things about mind, body, and soul. I actually just did my first wheel pose on sat. with one of your practices! I do have a question though- I do hold water in my right knee, my right elbow won't straighten all the way, and my right wrist can't hold a lot of weight either... Is this the stagnant things held in the body? But I also do suffer from RA. I'm not about dr.s either.... Do you have any suggestions? I started my practice Nov. 30th everyday. My body is opening up slowly but surely and Ive been feeling the best in a long time! Thank you!!!! Namaste!

@Jacz111 First of all...CONGRATULATIONS on doing yoga everyday since November! That is fantastic!!! Given that you 'carry water' in your knee and your elbow and wrist can't carry a lot of weight, I would not call this just 'stagnant energy'. There is a very good chance that you have biomechanical issues. I would recommend consulting your physician regarding your RA condition. Yoga (and meditation) have been proven to reduce inflammation and symptoms, as well as improve one's relationship to pain and a chronic disorder. You can always google yoga for arthritis, as I know there are several people that specialize in this and they may have more classes specifically choreographed for this. Please do post back, if you find any great resources so others can benefit too! I would just recommend listening to your body, taking it easy, being patient and working towards a nice, slow progression and building strength and flexibility...all of which sound like exactly what you are doing!

I loved the class. If I'm being honest, I would have preferred not the have the narrative of visualizing family, children passing away . . . I believe you can strip down the layers of who you are to "nobody" without that visualization. It really turned me off.

I am a beginner yogi, so a few poses were challenging for me. However, being that this is a new year (2015!!) it was just the practice that I needed. I have a sensitive digestive track and my focus for the new year is letting go of negativity, I will be returning to this practice. Thank you Ashley, Namaste.

this was fantastic! I chose to do this in the middle of the year, but its appropriate because Im starting school for the first time next month in a few years and I really needed to hear all the words you spoke regarding clearing out old labels, and emotions. Found the cuing really hard to follow in the practice- I had to keep looking at the screen to see what pose we were supposed to be doing, which prevented me from going deeper into my practice.

Young Living oils may be great. However, if you would prefer not to spend a fortune on them I would try Edens Gardens.
They make many of the same exact blends and they also include a fantastic booklet as well as a pamphlet on 101 Uses for Aromatherapy with a purchase.
You can buy them on Amazon or on their dedicated website. I would just compare the prices.

Thanks for another amazing class Ashley, just one question, I find it really difficult to have straight legs, even in forward bend, at aprox 24minutes here with the forward bend/twist/on blocks poses, should it always be straight legs or can you recommend a way I can work towards that or to make sure I am doing it proper in between? Thanks!
