Join Stanley Keleman, founder of the field of formative psychology, director of the Center for Energetic Studies in Berkeley, CA, and author of Myth and the Body on an exciting exploration of world myths and how they relate to the body. Learn how particular myths highlight the authenticity of the body's living expression of them, and thus become powerful cultural stories.
Keleman's colleague, Joseph Campbell, held the myth of Perceval, or The Holy Grail, to be the central myth of modern Western culture. Campbell believed that the life of the body is deeply connected to myth, that myth is a bodily activity that is in a sense narrated. Keleman's biological research on the body's inherited mesomorphic structure appears to support Campbell's theory of the body as a continuous story, a living Adventurer.
