The documentary I AM is the story of a man who had it all until something happened to make him realize he might have it all…wrong. After a near-death experience, Hollywood film director Tom Shadyac (Ace Ventura) decided to spark a conversation around two rarely asked questions: what’s wrong with our world and what can we do about it?

And so Shadyac traveled the globe interviewing today’s greatest thinkers. And while he may have been filming a documentary, his film reveals a plot twist straight out of a blockbuster movie: scientific proof that we are all connected. By the final scene, it’s clear that while he started out asking what’s wrong with our world, he ended up discovering what’s right with it.

It starts with consciousness and how we see ourselves, our identity. We need to change our perception of who we are, we need to acknowledge that we are loving beings and that we don't want to get involved with anything that is contrary to that affirmation. Taking more than we need creates destruction and there is so much evidence of this that if we don't see this truth, it has to be mental illness! We're in URGENT need of healing by witnessing many role models who have adopted a simpler life style, living on purpose & thriving and by emulating them in our own special way. We also need to remember that millions of tiny acts that come together + the power of one can and will make a huge positive difference. It is love that will save us! Wow! Beautiful! Such a powerful movie. I do agree with monismile...I plan on buying more than one copy so that I can share it. It would be nice to see Gaiam and others get behind the idea as well.
