The documentary I AM is the story of a man who had it all until something happened to make him realize he might have it all…wrong. After a near-death experience, Hollywood film director Tom Shadyac (Ace Ventura) decided to spark a conversation around two rarely asked questions: what’s wrong with our world and what can we do about it?
And so Shadyac traveled the globe interviewing today’s greatest thinkers. And while he may have been filming a documentary, his film reveals a plot twist straight out of a blockbuster movie: scientific proof that we are all connected. By the final scene, it’s clear that while he started out asking what’s wrong with our world, he ended up discovering what’s right with it.
This film is a Spiritual Cinema Circle selection

I AM! FANTASTIC!!, January 19, 2013
What an inspiring and moving film! I absolutely loved it and hope and pray that we can make these types of movies a part of our school curriculum so that our youth can learn these concepts early on in life. That is how we can truly change the world!

Inspiring and Beautiful message!, December 15, 2012
This truly uplifted me after the tragic events in Newton, CT. The beautiful and innocent lives that have been lost are tragic and heartbreaking. I know there is no way to make complete sense of it all, but I feel there is a lack of LOVE and connectedness in our country. We are so broken and I think we all just gave each other a hug and let people know we are there, things could change. I vow to make a difference in how interact with people.

I AM the movie, August 15, 2012
I Am reminds us of our humanity and validates that the connection we feel and share with each other takes precedent over everything. For without that connection we would die.

An amazing and touching film, September 29, 2012
The science presented here about the fact that we are all connected is compelling; one jaw dropping moment was when the filmmaker is attached to a machine that gauged his stress response, and they measure how his thoughts effect a dish of yogurt across the table! One of my favorite films so far on gaiamtv.com, an absolute must see.

There are no words to express, August 8, 2012
There are no words to adequately express how touched I was after viewing this film. The only thing I could do was simply share it with others. God bless everyone involved for making such a remarkable film.

Very good BUT.., June 28, 2012
The gist of the message is awesome but I think unrealistically idealizes nature and aboriginal culture. There are many examples in both of selfish conquering, violence, and genocide. That aside..incredibly inspiring and well done.

Amazing Film, June 2, 2012
I finally watched this and am very glad that I did. It's helped me to put a lot of struggles into perspective. It's funny how we turn within, finally, when things are outwardly at their lowest. I believe this film ought to be required viewing for every human on the planet. It is a catalyst for thought that we often avoid: The truth within.
