Clutter is anything that no longer serves you, including things, people and activities. On September 12, 2012, Regina Meredith sat down with Brooks Palmer, author of two practical Clutter Busting books, who shared how to break the emotional hold stuff may have on you.
Brooks Palmer helps people get rid of things they no longer need. Using compassion, awareness and humor, he helps thousands of clients rid their lives of clutter and let go of things that no longer serve them. Brooks is the author of Clutter Busting, Letting Go of What’s Holding You Back and Clutter Busting Your Life: Clearing Physical and Emotional Clutter to Reconnect with Yourself and Others.

A gentle reminder that we are not our "stuff". We should only surround ourselves with what we truly love, and inspires us.

CLUTTER BUSTING, September 17, 2012
Without a doubt we have all attempted to fill the "void" with stuff regardless of societal stature. Wisdom does denote that we should be sensitive to the fact that regardless of right or wrong these material objects are manifested by extending ourselves through self expression. So in helping people rid themselves of stuff as Brooks does, one must tread a little softer due to the emotional attachment, but all in all George sums it up in the 3 min. 10 sec. clip spliced into this subject matter. Good topic though. Stuff can certainly detour us from living in the moment by dwelling on the past or continued focus on the future by anticipated desires.

Mr. Palmer is not the best communicator around, but once I allowed myself to become comfortable with him, I found his information very useful. He is thoughtful, and kind in his approach. Meredith, as usual, did a wonderful job bringing out the pertinent information. Thanks to you both.
