If you are doing this everyday should we change to the right arm in the 2nd to last move - or is there a specifice reason for the left arm?
I am new - is there a different boc video every day - or do you do the same one over and over every morning?

I really enjoy this routine. As others mention, the exercises are very difficult but build incredible strength not just in the upper body, but the breath of fire really does increase your breathing capacity. Doing each exercise for 2 minutes also builds that mental endurance to push through difficult times. I have been training for a sprint triathlon and this has helped me greatly, especially with the breath control necessary for swimming, and the upper body strength. But it is not just a good workout. The root of kundalini yoga is feeling the energy within you, which i absolutely feel from the beginning to the end of this class. Thank you Tommy for this life lesson!
I have done Tommy's routine now for 2 years. I wish I could say daily but just as the post below I have taken some breaks. I have done many different workouts but nothing has made such impacts. Muscle definition for sure like no other but more than anything the mental clarity.
I started doing the Breakfast of Champions about 8 months ago. But I quickly got distracted and started mixing in a variety of different daily routines. After a 4 month hiatus from Kundalini altogether, I came back to Tommy's workout and started doing the Breakfast of Champions exclusively. To be honest I can barely articulate the difference it has made in my daily life.
At a basic level it really does wake me up in a powerful way. More importantly, it helps me touch into latent energy stored in my body. It gets me out of the incessant mental chatter in my head and helps me feel more whole and coherent throughout my system (that's mind, body, heart and spirit). And that's not just while I'm on the mat. As I move about in my daily life I have a sense of clarity and peace. I am less reactive and prone to live in my head judging and projecting. When "stuff" arises in my mind, its quickly gone, instead of taking root where it would normally be fuelled and amplified by my thoughts.
With my mind back in it's rightful place as the tool not the master, my limiting beliefs are sufficiently kept in check or eradicated altogether, and I can get on with the business of my life's work. The real kicker is noticing my normal way of being on the days when I don't do the Breakfast of Champions. If I do the BoC for say a week to 10 days and then have to miss a few days my energy is subdued, my mind is more active with white noise, and doubt, fear and negativity start to become more prominent in my thinking.
I really can't recommend this routine highly enough. It has been life changing for me.
The poses and exercises are very taxing for me but I feel the burn and pain in the beginning will get me to where I want to be. In shape.
I wish there were a way to fast-forward through this; after doing it for awhile, you don't need to hear all of Tommy's talking--the whole routine could take about 19 minutes or less. But every time I try to fast-forward, the whole thing freezes and I have to start over, which of course defeats the whole purpose of saving time. Any suggestions?
I am 12 days into the challenge and feeling stronger and more confident each morning. To anyone that has started the challenge and feeling a little defeated by the difficulty of the poses, hang in there. In 4-5 days you will begin to feel a change in your form and notice you are getting stronger. It is a wonderful experience!

As a beginner, this was tough. I have been using Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to build muscle and lose some fat, but this was a challenge for me to get through! It feel very centered and was able to relax my crazy, mile-a-minute mind. Thank you! Looking forward to tomorrow! Any suggestions for yoga poses that help with horrible knees?
Don't be intimidated or put off by the breath of fire and opening prayer used in practicing kundalini yoga! Embrace the unique and sometimes weird parts of kundalini, not only because it can be really fun to feel goofy while you're getting a tough workout but also because IT WORKS! Breath of fire is just rapid breathing to energize your body, and the sometimes awkward moments in kundalini are short lived after your third or fourth day of finding your groove. This is an intense strength builder for your core, shoulders and arms so it will be a challenge for the beginner and intermediate yogi, but I promise that if I can keep it up for over a week and a half and counting (as a 6ft spindly coffee addict), you can too! Tommy keeps it light and fun, and I'm literally astonished that this works waaaay better than Starbucks (with the added benifits of toning my core and arms!). Give it a try!
Third day and it feels super tough, my body is tingling. I'm not sure if its good or if I'm hyperventilating from the breath of fire!
Gosh my body is enjoying this.. Thank you..:) I have a ? For the yoga "push up" it seems that having a wider gate or hips puts by knee at a kind of angle and then my arms seem to be more comfortable out a bit farther to compensate. Until I am at the point of not being on my knee do you have any suggestions? It just feels a bit wonky yet I keep going as I look forward to strengthening up and just holding my up :)

I find keeping my shoulders down the back and pressing into the thumb and middle finger with the inner elbows facing one another helps me support my upper body. Best of luck to you!
Thank you.. wonderful suggestions :) I also noted that I was focusing a bit hard on it. Let that go and just continued adjusting until comfortable.. Helped to acknowledge too that looking at my body alignment from my own point of view on push up is probably going to look a little off.. ha ha.. With gratitudae :)
What a way to wake up every morning! The routine is only 20 minutes but it leaves me feeling like I've completed a much longer session. Thank you Gaiam TV!

Loved IT!! I had the shakes after the last movement but not bad shakes, just get the heck out of my body negative energy shakes. Felt much better after I did savasna for a few minutes. Definetely a WAKE up video and its so on my playlist now.
When I clicked on this, it was to just watch it as a review at first. About halfway through, I found it so compelling that I was doing very modified movements. Even at that, the effects are amazing. I really enjoy my morning coffee, but this could easily replace that ...AND give both my body and soul benefits. As much as I enjoy that cup of coffee, it won't do THAT for me. It's on my playlist.
