As far as the instruction went, this was a very good class for the absolute beginner. Unfortunately, my experience was not all it could have been because of issues with the audio and there were also wavy parts of the video.

This video is great if you are new to pilates, and not familiar with the moves. She really breaks the movements down, and offers useful modifications for those of us who aren't strong enough, or flexible enough yet, to do the full extensions. Nice, slow pace allows plenty of time to find proper alignment, with lots of focus on breathing! I've been doing it once a week for a couple of months now, and I find something deeper every time.

This was too slow for me, I never really felt like I got a workout. I love the yoga conditioning for weight loss which I find challenging and was hoping this would be too, not sure how this could be the equivalent for pilates. I have an Ana Cabain beginner's mat workout and that is harder than the level 3 in this dvd! So if you found this hard I would avoid any of Ana Cabain's.

This was a bit too easy. I started on Level 2, hoping it would be a little more challenging than Level 1. Was I wrong! The video is too slow paced, and I really don't know how this would help with weight loss. If you want a routine for weight loss, I wouldn't do this video!

I love the slow paced of this routine. It is such a great way to get back into Pilates without overdoing it. This video is the reason I subscribed to gaiamtv as my dvd broke...

Instructions are clear. I did the level 1, which GAIAM rates as for those who are "getting started" and it was just right. Pilates is a focus on the abdomen and core, so don't expect a kick-butt cardio workout here...

It was relaxing, but I expected a more intense workout from something labeled "Level 3." No arm workout at all, which is not surprising in a pilates video but the leg and butt work were lacking as well.

For someone like me who is a beginner/intermediate it's a great foundational video as well as workout. Makes you focus in on what you are suppose to be doing and how the moves should be done. However, the only downside is a 10-12 minute spiel on the workout which is a waste of time.

yeah i didnt really enjoy this because its too slow paced for me. i wanted a good workout and there's not many reps in the series. I did level 2 but it really should be categorized level 1. not for me.

I love these workouts! I like how slow-paced it is, because it really makes sure you understand the breathing involved, which is key to benefiting from all the amazing benefits Pilates has to offer! I used to practice pilates, but stopped due to illness. I'm glad I found this because it gives you three level's to choose from and is almost meditative in a way. Hardcore pilates fans might not enjoy this workout as it's very yoga-based, but if you want a pilates video that relaxes, invigorates and educates you - this is it!
