Hmmm, May 8, 2013

This is not a classic yoga class, there was no warm up, intention setting. I couldn't get throught to the end so I am not sure there was even a sivasana. I felt she was not a yoga instructor but someone with a great body( knows it and shares that knowledge with us unabashedly) who is doing a butt and leg toning workout that happens to include yoga-like poses. Bouncing poses creates bulk, holding creates lengthening. The Golgi tendon organs shortens the muscle when you bounce...yoga is supposed to lengthening muscles. Audio worked for me.

Easy to memorize and practice daily even if you only have a little time to fit in some movement! I LOVE this video! Mandy is funny, smart and keeps it real :)

OK, nice idea to have silence but you cannot follow the sequence without coming out of the pose every few seconds to look at the screen to see what you are supposed to be doing.

Basic yoga, funny instructor, September 20, 2012

I wasn't so sure about this at first because the instructor sounded a bit too bubbly to get me in "the zone" but after a while I was cracking up and it made me feel good. I wasn't particularly challenged during the video, but I felt it the next day! The only thing I didn't like was a lack of instuction going from one pose to another. For instance if my head is down how can I tell if we're changing sides if she's talking about the seagulls overhead? Funny yeah, but I lost evenness on timing from one side to the other for sure.

fun flow but poor jennifer aniston, June 17, 2012

barikoralband, posted:

if this is jennifer aniston's answer to a yoga teacher- personally I think she could dig a little deeper! I for one do not need to be thinking about the size of my inner thighs or how toned by butt is while I'm doing "yoga" (and would prefer my teacher not call it to my attention as well) so I wouldn't exactly call this yoga, but it's a fun flow and helps build strength and endurance.

This is definitely not a yoga practice, although she works in yoga poses. A great toning, sculpting workout though! Feeling the burn!

First I was thrown off by how workout oriented this video is. But once I let that go, i loved it. Super effective and the instructor cracked me up.
