I love Jillian's workouts but if you have knee issues you'll (often) have to create your own modifications for her exercises (gentler squats and no jumping). I do the best I can and even with my restrictions, she still gives me a great workout. I usually 'mix n match' from her different workouts. Best private workout I've found. Thanks Jillian!

Doing these levels back to back is no joke! My booty is already sore so I can only imagine what it will feel like tomorrow. If you really want to sweat I recommend doing both of them, I worked out so hard I thought I was going to throw up (I never do) and haven't had that feeling since I ran in high school. I can always do Jillian's version but doing them both I had to do some of the modified so that should tell you how tough it is but it's a great feeling.

If you have a strong core and strong legs, and a LOT of energy, you might be able to do MOST of Level 2. The moves are that intense. The advanced versions of some moves are almost superhuman. You go, Bashira! I am generally mixed on Jillian Michaels, yet I find myself coming back to this workout because of the great core work.

I've always been an athletic person who likes to switch up my routines often so that I'm always working new muscle groups. Some of the Jillian Michaels workouts leave my muscles trembling, others not so much. This one definitely will leave you gasping for breath and creating new muscle. Level I is not as intense unless you add weights for most of the exercises, but level 2 is hardcore through and through. I'd recommend this for anyone who is already in shape and wants a challenge.

Very good workout. If only the music can be modified! It keeps the same beat all the time even during the relaxation part!!! Jillian is trying hard to make us to relax our muscles and thoughts through her words; however, the music is telling us; "hey keep rushing!" . That does not work for me. It will not stop me to continue doing it ...but just something to be considered for future videos :)

This workout is great! I'm wondering about the range of calories burned? Also, does Jillian recommend other exercise, such as using an elliptical or tread mill on the 2 - 3 days per week when this workout is not done?

Gaiam yoga folks: occasionally I will be all ready to work out and my chosen video will not have a play button. Is there a way to fix this? It usually reappears in a day or so. Other than that, I enjoy this video and the yoga/kung-fu fusion. Great cool down.

i really like this workout! jillian is great, all of her tough talk makes me laugh and keeps me motivated at the same time. i can do level 1 without the modifications and it's a great workout. very challenging and my body feels energized and alive after. level 2 is definitely harder and i still have to do the easier versions of most of the exercises. also if you have WRIST issues, level 2 might not be for you.

Hello and thank you for reaching out.

Jillian recommends using hand weights or dumbbells as well as a mat, which is optional if you are working out on a carpet at home.

As for workout frequency, she recommends working out three to four times a week, following Level 1 for one to two weeks before moving on to Level 2. Of course, you are the best judge of your ability and comfort level.
