I have done various weight/strength training routines (not just Gaiam) and I must say this was one of the better ones. I have been doing several times a week for the last 3-4 and notice more definition in my arms and legs. Now, i do other types of workouts and all them may have contributed, but didn't notice the extra 'something' until I started doing this workout. Annie does appear to be a bit stiff/nervous or whatever, but I am not doing the workout to be entertained. I think it is a good workout for what ever level one is working at. Not sure why reviewers reference cardio workout as it is definitely weight training, but you will sweat and your heart rate will increase if you maximize the routine and give it your all. Have fun with the workout!

not one of the harder firm workouts, August 28, 2012

You get a slow steady weight routine for a day you don't feel like a hard workout or good if you are a beginner. In NO way is this a cardio routine, however, and shouldn't be labelled as such. Annie is the most wooden of the Firm instructors too, if that sort of thing bothers you.

I enjoyed this routine. You have to work the lunges pretty deep to get results, and it's a good alternative to a big cardio workout if you want to work but don't feel like jumping around and puffing too much. Annie Lee seems a little nervous sometimes, and often starts a new move before she announces what it will be, but otherwise she's precise and clear.
