I'm not sure how you would define the yoga style of this practice, but it's certainly not vinyasa. Lots of stretching with some arm balances worked in. Not too many truly advanced poses.

This sequence for hip openers is way to fast to completely receive benefits. In my opinion this sequence needs to be an hour long. Listen to your own body, modifying where needed if you are going to stay with the quick pace. No need to cause injury.

I would say what makes the hip opener sequence advanced is the pace, not the poses. The poses are very basic but the pace is so speedy that I did not feel I was able to completely benefit from the flow. The hip opener sequence itself only lasts around 21 minutes (Yee speaks the first 1.2 minutes and finishes with a savasanah). I'll definitely enjoy doing the workout again when pressed for time, but for a deeper hip practice, will need something else.

This is a very lovely flow of sequences, but my biggest contention is that Rodney goes too quickly. Even though I am fairly experienced in my practice, he does not spend enough time in each pose to breathe and really feel the benefits revealing themselves. Major buzz kill!

a little challenging, but come on i need some serious workout! i work on the road and online yoga is one of my best resources. i'm big into both yoga and weightlifting at home and am always looking for something that is seriously challenging!

Rodney Yee messed up my knee! The hip opener video is fine, but the advanced arms poses are very intense. I followed through the flow and after I felt an intense pain in my knee that took a week to heal. In all fairness, it was an old injury from skateboarding... but you should do the intense poses (full lotus, deep leg stetches) with caution if you have injuries or are not super limber
